Battle damage to Columbia's Gun Director

Deck Log Jan 9, 1945 "0745 hrs. The plane hit the main battery (6 in. gun) director. It's 250 kg. bomb
exploded just below the director which was blown over the side. The gun director was a rotating steel box
that contained optics and radar for locating and tracking targets. Five of the men above were inside the
